For centuries, the nomadic people of Central Asia and the Far East have lived in portable, circular dwellings known as yurts.

The Mongols who refer to them as a "ger", live in them year round and tend to prefer them to other forms of housing. The design has been developed for generations to suit the needs of its inhabitants. It can be warm in arctic cold, yet cool in summer. The structure can collapse small enough to fit on one draft animal and can be set up in a half an hour.

Yurts are a wonderful compliment to nature and we welcome them into their new home at Odetah. Staying in a yurt is an enjoyable experience for you and your family and has become another great way for Odetah to bring "Nature to Your Doorstep".

Odetah's yurts are complete with electricity (indoor and outdoor), refrigerator, bunked beds with twin and double mattresses, a fold out double size futon, area rug, Adirondack chairs, broom, picnic table, fire ring, pedestal barbecue, and a relaxing porch. Yurts can sleep up to 5 people. Each yurt has plenty of windows a screen door, shades, and a giant bubble dome on top that can be opened for ventilation. Water is available right outside every yurt. A large bath house is located nearby with immaculate facilities. Yurts do not include linens, dishes, or pots and pans. When deciding what to bring, think of yurt rentals as tent camping without the tent.

Check in time 3:00 PM and check out is 1:00 PM. There is a two night minimum stay on all yurts. A security deposit of $100.00 is required when making your reservation. This deposit will be held after you check out until the yurt has been cleaned and inspected. The deposit will be fully refunded by check or credit card after inspection and only if no damage is found. Leaving yurts dirty or a mess will only delay your refund.

Cancellation Notice: We must receive cancellation notice 10 days prior to your arrival date in order to receive a refund of your deposit less a $5.00 service charge.

IMPORTANT: Pets, tents, or additional sleeping facilities are NOT permitted on yurt rental sites. Screen rooms or outdoor coverings are allowed. Reservations are necessary! Please call in advance. No reservations until April 1st.
